Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

Arriving at home last night from a difficult trip, I was horrified to discover my home had been invaded. There was evidence of little critters all over my kitchen – critters of the small, furry, four-legged kind. Once I got over the initial shock and a good case of the heebie-jeebies, I decided there was only one thing I could do. Find a way to conquer my fear of mice and get rid of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

I got on my computer and googled every tip I could find on the quickest and best way to rid a home of mice. I studied up on the best types of traps I could buy or build. I researched repellents and pondered possible entry points into my home. I got rid of every potential food source or item of interest they could get into. I searched my kitchen looking for potential spots where the little uninvited tenants could possibly be and then I went to the hardware store and bought way too much stuff that could get them out of my home. I deployed every trap and every tactic I could and then I went to bed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was lying in wait for the enemy to come. They did, too. The tally so far?\u00a0 Beth two, mice zero.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last night was a big reminder of the battle we face every day as believers. We have a very real enemy who is always on the prowl, waiting to find that entry point to get to you and me. But what can we do about it? We are to take up the full armor of God that Paul tells us about in Ephesians chapter six. We have to be vigilant in prayer as Paul says there, too, and when we do those things, we will be able to stop the spiritual attack. We will walk in victory!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
