I have a problem in my kitchen. The plastic containers are multiplying.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps you have a space like this in your kitchen cupboards. I have one that is overflowing with plastic containers and lids. Some of them match and some of them don\u2019t. Some were purchased at those fun home parties I loved to attend back in the day, and some are just old butter containers that worked in the moment for quick storage and I didn\u2019t have the heart to throw away. However they gained their spot in the cabinet, there they were, stacked in a precarious pile on the shelf about to spill out onto the floor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s time, I said to myself. Time to decide which ones should stay and which ones needed to go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After narrowing it down to the good containers and lids, and two cream cheese containers, I called it a night – and called it pretty funny that the Lord had me consider a couple of verses from Matthew chapter six as I was organizing my cupboard:\u00a0 \u201c<\/span>But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We all have the tendency to store up things we don\u2019t need, especially objects that simply don\u2019t last. Our true treasures are found in heaven, in God, in our relationship with Jesus. He is what we really need, so let\u2019s make sure He is what we are seeking today.<\/span><\/p>\n
