Sometimes Failures are just practice.\u00a0 <\/span>My son Malachi is finally on the cusp of getting his driver’s license. He finished his behind-the-wheel practice hours, and wouldn’t you know it, my wife Kris snagged him a test appointment for the very next day! Appointments have been booked solid for months, so this felt like a stroke of luck. Except, Malachi was thrown for a loop. He barely had 24 hours’ notice, and nerves got the better of him. He failed the test.<\/span><\/p>\n

The disappointment was real, but here’s the thing: the instructor believed it was mostly nerves. We reminded Malachi of what my wife, Kris, had said beforehand: “Treat it like a practice test.” Now, he knows what to expect. He won’t be surprised by the format, the car, or the routes. He’ll be calmer and more prepared next time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of us face setbacks. We stumble, we fall, we fail. But failure doesn’t have to be the end of the story. It can be a valuable learning experience, a chance to identify weaknesses and prepare for the future.<\/b><\/p>\n

Proverbs 24:16 “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble by one transgression.” (NIV)<\/span><\/p>\n

So, take heart! If you’ve experienced a setback, remember it’s not a reflection of your worth. It’s simply a lesson on your path. Learn from it, dust yourself off, and get ready to rise again, stronger and wiser.<\/span><\/p>\n
