It\u2019s the First day of Summer, what is your all-time favorite summer memory and why?<\/span><\/p>\n

Mo<\/span><\/span>rning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

Sometimes, we have to make the best of less-than-ideal situations. This past weekend, for instance, was Father\u2019s Day and the beginning of summer break \u2013 the perfect time for a church picnic. My wife, a member of the church\u2019s fellowship team, helped plan the event with great care. We asked everyone to bring picnic foods like sandwiches, chips, fruit, and, of course, desserts.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, when Saturday rolled around, the weather didn\u2019t cooperate. It rained buckets and buckets. The outdoor picnic was no longer an option, so we moved the event into the gym. I thought no one would show up for an indoor picnic. I couldn\u2019t have been more wrong. Although people didn’t arrive right on time, they came anyway, bringing their food and their good spirits.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the end, we had a wonderful time of food and fellowship, which we would have missed out on if we had decided to cancel the event. It reminded me that even when things don\u2019t go as planned, God can turn the situation around for our good.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 19:21 says, \u201cMany are the plans in a person\u2019s heart, but it is the Lord\u2019s purpose that prevails.\u201d Despite our plans and expectations, God\u2019s purpose always prevails, and He can bring joy and community out of what seems like a setback.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, when faced with unexpected challenges, let\u2019s remember to trust in God\u2019s plan. He can turn any situation into a blessing, showing us that His ways are higher than our ways. Let\u2019s embrace these moments, knowing that God is at work in every circumstance.<\/span><\/p>\n
