It was an interesting weekend at the Crosby household. I wish I could say I got a lot done around the house. I started a lot of projects but I wasn\u2019t able to finish them for one odd reason.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was because of things I couldn\u2019t see.<\/span><\/p>\n

I tried to hang a paper towel holder in my kitchen but I had trouble landing the screws in the wall, all because I couldn\u2019t figure out where the studs were or see the marks I made on the wall. I\u2019ve been trying to find out where wasps may be starting to build a nest in my siding. They\u2019re congregating in one particular section but I have yet to see with my own eyes where they\u2019re getting in. I dropped a part for a shelf I was building behind a cabinet in my garage – I can\u2019t see it, much less reach it without some help. It all made me wish I had laser sharp focus or x-ray vision like some sort of comic book hero to do what I needed to and get the work done.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At one point in the day yesterday I thought to myself, at least I can focus on one unseen thing and rejoice in it. That would be the wonderful life that is to come when we are finally with the Lord in glory, the eternal life we are promised with Jesus as our Lord and savior. What\u2019s happening in my house means so little compared to what\u2019s to come in His house.\u00a0 As Paul told the Corinthians, \u201c<\/span>For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.<\/span> So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
