Mo<\/span><\/span>rning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

I recently discovered a video filmed by a music producer who found himself overwhelmed by a song he had been asked to critique by a friend. His friend was a Christian, and the song told of the great love that Jesus demonstrated for us by dying on the cross.<\/span><\/p>\n

His video critique started out normally, with the producer clinically grading the song\u2019s introduction and opening lyric. The longer he listened, though, the more he was being drawn in by the message of the song – the message of the gospel. By the end of the song, the producer was overcome with emotion, sobbing, touched by the compassion and forgiveness Jesus offered. He was so moved by the depth of God\u2019s grace toward him that he kept asking himself, \u201cWhere has this love been all my life? Why am I just seeing this now?\u201d All I wanted to do was reach for him through my computer screen and lead him to Jesus on the spot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m always intrigued by how God points prodigal children toward home. For this man, it was a song. For others, it might be a \u201cchance\u201d encounter with a stranger or a perfectly worded road sign. For a son in Luke chapter 15, it was a meeting with pigs in a pen that did it for him. Whatever gets their attention, I believe there will come a time when your prodigal will say, \u201cWhere would I be without the love of God?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I know where I would be if I didn\u2019t know Jesus Christ and I shudder at the thought. Don\u2019t make the mistake of not knowing Him. He came and died on the cross for you so you could be with Him for eternity, forgiven of your sins.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
