I had the pleasure of going out for lunch with a co-worker yesterday at a restaurant I love but have not been to in a couple of years. When I walked in, I looked up at the menu board and noticed it had changed a lot. My favorite soup was still there but beyond that, the rest of the food choices were a mystery. I am not normally a quick person when it comes to making choices – I like to think things out, sometimes to my detriment – so it took me what seemed like forever to choose my meal.\u00a0 Thankfully, my choice was a great one. Lunch was a success.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to my spiritual life, I have made choices both good and bad. Our Father God, on the other hand, made the best one and Paul tells us about it in Ephesians 1:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.<\/span> For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love<\/span> he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will\u2014<\/span> to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We have been hand-picked by God to be his sons and daughters. To Him, that choice is a no-brainer.<\/span><\/p>\n
