I spent much of the afternoon yesterday testing out some new dessert recipes. It was a project that should have been a lot of fun, except for the fact that my research wasn\u2019t producing the results I was hoping for. None of my desserts were turning out the way I anticipated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I checked the ingredients and adjusted the amounts. I did everything I could to get things just right. After thinking through all of the variables and possible remedies, I finally determined the source of my problem. Time. I was rushing the whole process. After taking a little more time to mix the batter and adding a couple of minutes of cooking time, voila! I finally had the perfect dessert confection on my plate.<\/span><\/p>\n

My kitchen adventure had me thinking a lot about God\u2019s timing and how often we want to speed up God\u2019s clock. God\u2019s timing is very different from ours, though. Remember how Peter wrote in 2 Peter chapter three that <\/span>\u201c<\/span>with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day,\u201d and that He is \u201cnot slow\u2026 as some count slowness?\u201d How can we trust in our timing when God\u2019s hands are on the clock? We can\u2019t. Let\u2019s put our trust in Him and let Him bring things together in His perfect timing.<\/span><\/p>\n
