It’s National Goof Off Day.\u00a0 What happened when you were goofing off?<\/p>\n

Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

The best thing about coming home from work is hearing my dog bark when I walk in the door. This for a few reasons: One, she\u2019s blind and deaf. She can\u2019t see or hear me coming. Two, there\u2019s no one else in the house to greet me when I come home. It\u2019s just us. And three, it\u2019s really nice to know that I\u2019m needed. She relies on me solely for her care. I give her food, water, shelter, medicine, companionship, discipline, and most of all, love.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She reciprocates in her own way, to the best of her ability. She\u2019s never been a cuddler, she never learned any tricks and her advanced age means she can only entertain me with her unbelievable capacity to snore. But she provides me with what she can. It may be a lopsided relationship but honestly, I wouldn\u2019t trade it for anything.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, there were a lot of people who were really glad to see Him. They were cheering in the streets, shouting, \u201cHosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!\u201d But a few days later, the script was flipped and the crowds were calling for Him to be crucified. Did that change His love for the people? Not at all. Their capacity for worship and adoration of their Messiah may have fallen by the wayside but Jesus\u2019 focus on His mission did not. He would give His very life for them and for us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If Jesus were to return today, would you be glad to see Him?\u00a0 Would He know you?\u00a0 If He is not your Lord and Savior, make Him yours today.<\/span><\/p>\n
