I have been keeping an eye on a house not far from the Kinship Radio studios the past several months that has been undergoing renovation. Transformation is probably a better word because this house has been completely changed from top to bottom!<\/span><\/p>\n

Last fall, the house was torn down to the foundation and from what I could tell, the basement walls were reinforced. Next came new walls and what looked like a completely new home design, with a new garage and perhaps a split level type entry. Windows and doors were installed, as well as a new roof and siding. Our mild winter has allowed this home to take shape quickly and from the looks of things, it\u2019s just about move-in ready.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When I was shopping for a home a couple of years ago I wanted one that was move-in ready myself – one that required as little work as possible. When it comes to spiritual renovations in our lives, we often want the same thing. We typically have the \u201cI\u2019m a good person, I don\u2019t need Jesus to change me\u201d mindset. The problem is, nothing could be further from the truth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 3:23 says that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God\u2019s glory. We are all in need of some repair work. Here\u2019s the good news, though – Jesus came to do that work, and when He went to the cross, He finished it. In Him, we are made new.<\/span><\/p>\n
