While I was traveling the past week I got to spend a Sunday with my parents and that meant I got to attend their church. Their congregation has a lot of families, which means there are always young children running around. For me, it makes for a very entertaining worship time.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the service, my parents decided to attend a discipleship class so I had about an hour to run a couple of errands. In order to get out of the church building, I needed to walk through the area where a bunch of children were playing. That\u2019s when I saw her – a young girl, maybe two years old, busily searching for who knows what.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was looking hard, too. She was flipping books around, kicking toys, tossing seat cushions, going through whatever she could to find the one thing that would make her happy. Her facial expressions went from mild concern to all out panic as she came to the conclusion that her lost trinket was nowhere to be found.<\/span><\/p>\n

We spend a lot of time looking for something that we think we need or for what we think will satisfy us but we never quite find it. That is, until we realize what we are actually supposed to be searching for. In Jeremiah 29, the Lord tells us that \u201cyou will seek me and find me when you search for Me with all your heart.\u201d In Isaiah 55, He tells us that He will satisfy us with \u201cthe richest of fare.\u201d Whatever you\u2019re looking for, look no further. You\u2019ll find everything you need in Him.<\/span><\/p>\n
