Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

Do you ever get afraid of making a mistake?\u00a0 I do, and that fear can be almost paralyzing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At times I get so afraid of making a mistake that I flat out avoid stepping out in faith. That\u2019s too bad because God can handle any mistake we can make. I know because I\u2019ve made plenty of them. Here\u2019s the good news, though. If you are faithful to act on God\u2019s Word out of the sincerity of your heart, Jesus will be there for you no matter how many mistakes you make.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe He proved that the night Peter jumped out of the boat to walk on the water. Peter hadn\u2019t been praying or seeking God\u2019s will before he did that. He just blurted out on impulse, \u201cLord, if it\u2019s You, tell me to come.\u201d\u00a0 What was Jesus supposed to say?\u00a0 He could have said, \u201cWait a minute, Peter. Let\u2019s think this through. Do you really have enough faith to get out here?\u00a0 You had better stay in that boat or you\u2019re going to drown.\u201d He didn\u2019t say that to Peter, and He won\u2019t say that to you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to get out and walk by faith, He\u2019ll get out there with you and pick you up when you start sinking. He\u2019ll walk you back to the boat if you need Him to. Don\u2019t let your fear of failure keep you from taking that step of faith. It\u2019s time to get out of the boat!<\/span><\/p>\n
