Marie, Michigan publishes an annual list of &#8220;banished&#8221; words. These are words or phrases the university has determined are frequently misused, overused or lost their meaning over the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university received over 2,000 nominations from as far away as Namibia and Ukraine to include in this year\u2019s list. The top ten winners on the list included words such as \u201crizz\u201d and \u201cslay\u201d &#8211; terms I am more than happy to see disappear. Others are more debatable. They are \u201chack,\u201d \u201cimpact,\u201d \u201cat the end of the day,\u201d \u201ciconic,\u201d \u201ccringe-worthy,\u201d \u201cobsessed,\u201d \u201cside hustle,\u201d and \u201cwait for it\u2026.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s the one that got me.\u00a0 Wait for it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve turned that phrase into a comedic element, a way to emphasize that what\u2019s coming next is funny or foolish. But for those who have been waiting for an answer to a prayer or waiting for a move from the Lord, the phrase isn\u2019t always that humorous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s the good news, though. The command to \u201cwait for it\u201d comes with a promise for us. Habakkuk 2:3 says this: \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rest assured, the Lord has an answer for your prayer.\u00a0 God\u2019s promise for you is coming.
