I got home that evening, tossed my keys onto the counter, wishing I could throw in the proverbial towel as well. I was feeling singed from the fire of the day\u2019s trials, drowning in misery and feeling very much alone. I even had myself one of those ugly cries, too &#8211; one where you hope your tissues are the ones with lotion in them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I got to this point where I realized I could do one of two things. I could stay in that place or I could crawl into God\u2019s lap and thankfully, I chose the latter. I lifted up my hands to God and said, \u201cLord, I can\u2019t handle it. I can\u2019t take all of this so I am giving it all to you. The only thing I am holding onto is You so don\u2019t let me go.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God is so good, because I got the most beautiful reply in return. I flipped open my Bible to find this passage from Isaiah 43:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire. you will not be burned;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he flames will not set you ablaze.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For I am the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lord<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is there for you in your toughest times, and He is your Savior.
