My wife made a dessert, because SHE wanted it.\u00a0 I saw that and said, nope, I\u2019m not waiting.\u00a0 It\u2019s a very midwestern thing, maybe you\u2019ve had it. Its cottage cheese, Cool Whip and orange Jello all mixed together and my kids, to a man, HATE it.\u00a0 But it&#8217;s like a nostalgic thing for me\u2026 Like it&#8217;s not the best dessert in the world but I haven\u2019t had it in years, and I was already planning to take a little break from the diet next week\u2026 so I guess I got a little head start on that.\u00a0 Now I\u2019m glad I did, because then I had a brilliant opportunity to stand up to my kids in a moment of solidarity with my wife to say, I love you kids, but this woman is my partner in this world and she makes the best food, no matter what you say.\u00a0 And I could do it, while I wolfed down that amazingness.\u00a0 Ephesians 5:25 says, &#8220;Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.&#8221;\u00a0 It was a great moment.
