Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

I personally didn\u2019t have one growing up, but my grandparents had one in their toy box and I loved it. Do you remember the Etch-a-Sketch? Whenever we would visit my grandparents I would always try and draw houses and skyscrapers on it.\u00a0 My Dad, who was an engineer, would often help me, too, and we would end up with some pretty complex drawings on it. Ultimately, I would make a mistake and with a few quick shakes, the image was gone and I could start over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The concept of the Etch-a-Sketch is certainly not lost on us as believers. How many times have you made a mistake and wanted to quickly wipe it all away without a trace?\u00a0 That\u2019s not something we can do on our own. However, God has given us the way to clear our mistakes through faith in His Son. First John 1:9 says, \u201cIf we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.\u201d And Psalm 103:12 says, \u201cAs far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.\u201d\u00a0 That sin of ours?\u00a0 Ask God for forgiveness and shake, shake, shake, it\u2019s gone!<\/span><\/p>\n
