You need a password or a PIN for everything nowadays and when it comes to things like websites and such, I am notorious for forgetting them.

Yesterday I wanted to make a change to my account for one of those gas station rewards programs. Much to my surprise, I couldn’t do it in the store. Oh no, I had to do it at home on the company’s website, accessing my account with a password I haven’t used in years. Now did I remember the password for my account? I thought I did but no, so I clicked on the “forgot password” prompt on the sign-in page. I followed the instructions and waited for the coveted password recovery email, which never came. I found myself lost in the dreaded forgotten password oblivion.

In this day and age, one can easily understand why we need things like PIN numbers and passwords. With the rise in identity theft crimes, we need those levels of security to keep others from accessing our accounts and doing nefarious things with our finances and information. Did you know that God has passwords for us to come to Him and enjoy His presence? Thankfully, they are easy to remember and are found in Psalm 100: “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.” God has given us the PIN to get into His throne room! They are an easy combination of gratitude and worship so I say we use them.

– Beth

Burning Question:

What are some of your family’s birthday traditions?

Bible Quiz:

Question: When Moses was in the Tabernacle, where did God’s voice come from?

Answer: Above the mercy seat or atonement cover over the ark of the covenant (Numbers 7:89)

Storytime: Don’t mess with Mama Bear!

Just one more thing

Morning Devotional: One of my least favorite things in life, and one of the things we can’t seem to live without, are passwords.
