Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

One of the things I enjoy doing in my spare time is explore real estate listings.\u00a0 Not that I am moving anywhere anytime soon, and I love the house I have right now \u2013 I just enjoy looking at homes and imagining what my dream home might be someday.<\/p>\n

Mine would have all the amenities.\u00a0 A beautiful, open floor plan.\u00a0 A bright, spacious home office space.\u00a0 A backyard patio with lots of outdoor seating and built in fireplace.\u00a0 Lots of room for my sound equipment and lots of soundproofing to play music as loud as I want.\u00a0 And room for friends and family to come and stay anytime they want.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s a grand plan in my head, but it\u2019s a plan that pales in comparison to the home that is waiting for me and all who believe in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

Have you pondered heaven lately?\u00a0 Do you wonder what that will be like?\u00a0 What it will be like to be there with the Lord?\u00a0 In John 14, we learn that the Father\u2019s house has many rooms, and a place is being prepared there for us even now.\u00a0 We read in Revelation of streets of gold and treasuries of jewels that adorn the New Jerusalem.\u00a0 We read how there\u2019s no sun, no moon and no stars, and how the presence of God himself lights up the place.\u00a0 Put that on a real estate listing. But here\u2019s what I love the most.\u00a0 No matter what it looks like, I love the description of what I will experience when the time comes \u2013 a place where God will wipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no more “death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Revelation 21, John gives us a glimpse of Heaven in a way that we as humans will be able to understand. All of the things we deal with here on earth\u2026 sin, pain, tears, death, sorrow, suffering\u2026 all these things do not exist within the perfection of Heaven. Without those being a factor, what will eternity look like? It will be just that! It will be the absence of everything that is wrong with life here on earth, and full of the presence of God.<\/p>\n
