Most of the time that feeling of satisfaction is fleeting and the joy runs out. That’s why we are told in the Word what it is we are to really be searching out in this life. In Matthew chapter six, Jesus tells us, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

What are you chasing after today? Are you running after things that will only satisfy you for a time, or are you seeking out the treasures in heaven? Be sure you are searching out the real thing – relationship with God.

– Beth

Burning Question:

What is your most memorable road trip ever?

Bible Quiz:

Question: Who heard Peter’s voice at the door but failed to let him in?

Answer: Rhoda (Acts 12:12-16)

Storytime:

Just one more thing:

Morning Devotional: Call me crazy, but I love garage sales. I love them for two reasons – one, because I can usually find great stuff for next to nothing, and…

[85
