At one point in the flight, when we were over the Rocky Mountains, our plane was suddenly hit with severe turbulence. I was thankfully buckled in my seat but a few of the passengers were standing in the aisle at the time, and as the plane bobbed up and down and side to side, so did they. The turbulence came on so fast they didn&#8217;t even have time to prepare and it lasted for the better part of an hour. It was scary &#8211; and all I could do was sit in my seat, hold on, and pray, thinking how much I wanted to be back on solid ground.<\/p>\n<p>We all have had those moments when it feels like we are in turbulent times, when the ground feels like it is shaking all around us.
