{"id":48782,"date":"2023-05-24T08:25:57","date_gmt":"2023-05-24T13:25:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kinshipradio.org\/home\/?p=48782"},"modified":"2023-05-24T08:25:57","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T13:25:57","slug":"morning-show-archive-wednesday-may-24th-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kinshipradio.org\/home\/morning-show-archive-wednesday-may-24th-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Show Archive- Wednesday, May 24th, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were pretty bad.\u00a0 \u00a0 If you missed it I had my brother Shaun on the Phone to play the what day is it game.\u00a0 Shaun and I are pretty different, and growing up there was a lot of time where we fought so hard.\u00a0 I\u2019m twice his size, but he is twice as fast as me.\u00a0 So If I could catch him, I won, and if I couldn\u2019t he could just stand at a distance and throw things at me.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our story could have fit in the book of Genesis, Brothers just at each other\u2019s throats! Cain and Abel Genesis 4; Isaac and Ishmael (21:8\u201310); Joseph and everyone not named Benjamin (ch. 37). But for brother-to-brother animosity, it\u2019s hard to beat Jacob and Esau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esau\u2019s twin brother had cheated him twice, so he wanted to kill Jacob (27:41). Decades later Jacob and Esau would reconcile (ch. 33). But the rivalry continued on in their descendants, who became the nations of Edom and Israel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Happily for us, the Bible contains not just the sad account of our brokenness but the story of God\u2019s redemption as well. Jesus changed everything, telling His disciples, \u201cA new command I give you: Love one another\u201d John 13:34. Then He showed us what that means by dying for us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Shaun and I got older, we became close. That\u2019s the thing with God.
