Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

There are times when technology is great, and then there are times when technology is just plain frustrating. Take for instance the time I bought shoes with a built-in fitness tracker.\u00a0 I saw them in the store and thought this was a pretty cool idea, right?\u00a0 The shoes were really comfortable, not too bad of a price either, so I bought them.\u00a0 I took them home, downloaded the accompanying app and I went for a walk.\u00a0 They worked great, too!\u00a0 My first set of steps showed up on the app perfectly.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is, until I took my shoes off.<\/span><\/p>\n

Something happened when I went to put on my shoes the next day. I couldn\u2019t get the app to work again and I had to reset the shoes.\u00a0 My previous day\u2019s accomplishment was somewhere in technological oblivion and I had to start over.\u00a0 This was not by any means a motivational kick start for me.\u00a0 I was for a moment defeated, my previous day\u2019s steps simply gone.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am easily defeated when I don\u2019t know or understand the steps the Lord has ordained for me. I like to know the direction I am supposed to go, the number of steps I am to make and the path I am to travel. That scripture in Psalm 37 where it says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord? That\u2019s a tough line for me. Do we know every step He has ordained for us all the time?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 Do we have to?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 I can\u2019t map them, I can\u2019t always track them, but I can trust that each step is good because He set my foot there.<\/span><\/p>\n
