Morning Devotional<\/span>:<\/p>\n

What started as fun became a project a little too big to handle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week I ordered an electric bike with the understanding that the one I wanted was on backorder and it would take about a month or more to arrive. Well, lo and behold, I came home to find a huge box propped up on my garage door. It was my new bicycle, fresh off the delivery truck, exactly four weeks earlier than expected. I was excited about that and I couldn\u2019t wait to open up the box, get it out and ride it for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was one problem with my plan and it came down to three words: Some assembly required.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I knew there would be a couple of things I would need to put together but \u201csome?\u201d\u00a0 Ha! How about a LOT of assembly! What I thought was going to be just a few little turns of a couple of screws became a dizzying maze of steps and parts and \u201cinsert screw A into hole B\u201d that I simply could not decipher. I had to leave my new bicycle and all of the accoutrements in pieces on my garage floor for another day or two. My inaugural bicycle ride will have to wait.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am so glad that our Father God does not walk away from us in a disassembled mess on the floor. When we find ourselves in broken pieces, He keeps His promise to us to heal our broken hearts and bind up our open wounds. (Psalm 147:3) We are never a project left unfinished. God is faithful to put us together again, and I love that.<\/span><\/p>\n
