{"id":46931,"date":"2023-03-15T06:01:45","date_gmt":"2023-03-15T11:01:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kinshipradio.org\/home\/?p=46931"},"modified":"2023-03-15T06:01:45","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T11:01:45","slug":"morning-show-archive-march-14th-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kinshipradio.org\/home\/morning-show-archive-march-14th-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning Show Archive &#8211; March 14th, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Morning Devotional:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was a punch in the gut kind of day with the best reminder that God was with me the whole time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yesterday was not the greatest day I could have had. A couple of events late in the day left me feeling sad and weak and very much defeated in my faith. When I went to the Lord about it at the end of the day, the one thing I kept saying to the Lord was, \u201cGod, I feel like I\u2019ve been punched in the gut.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At a loss for the right scripture to ease my very wounded soul, I did what I normally don\u2019t do and wouldn\u2019t necessarily recommend.\u00a0 I turned to Google. On a whim, I searched the phrase, \u201cGod, I feel like I\u2019ve been punched in the gut\u201d and what came back was the perfect word to minister to my broken heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Splagchnizomai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I love learning a good Greek word and this one met me right where I needed it.\u00a0 The root of the word refers to intestinal organs, and s<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plagchnizomai means to be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">moved so deeply by something that you feel it in the pit of your stomach. We see the word used in Mark chapter 8 when Jesus is moved with compassion for a crowd. The good Samaritan in Luke 10 had <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">splagchnizomai for the man left half dead on the road. And the father in Luke 15 showed great splagchnizomai toward his prodigal son when he made his way home.
