Morning Devotional:<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t hate me for saying it but I love a good blizzard.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re getting a pretty good blast of the white stuff this week and I\u2019ll be honest, I was a little bummed that I had to work today!\u00a0 I love the days when I can stay home, curl up in my favorite chair, cuddle with my dog and read a good book while the snow piles up and the winds keep whistling away.\u00a0 Today is not that day. I have had my share of days, however, when I have had to travel in blizzards and one such storm had me fearing for my life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I had 25 miles to drive home from an event I had spoken at and shortly after my departure, I found myself driving in near zero visibility. I was white knuckling my steering wheel, trusting in two ruts made by a vehicle that had gone before me and the knowledge that the road was straight for approximately ten miles. Beyond that, I had no idea how I was going to get home.\u00a0 After an hour or so, I reached what I thought was the ten-mile mark, I stopped the car and thought to myself, this was where I was going to need to stay for the night. It was truly the middle of nowhere and all I could do was pray.<\/span><\/p>\n

After about 15 minutes, I saw a light in the distance coming toward me. It was a snowplow, traveling on the highway I needed to turn onto in order to get home. I was only about 200 feet or so shy of the intersection. I got behind that plow and you know what?\u00a0 That plow led me the entire way home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That night served as a powerful reminder of God\u2019s promise to us in Psalm 119:105: \u201cYour word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path.\u201d\u00a0 When we lose our way and need help finding our way home, God will lead us there.<\/span><\/p>\n
