January 9th, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Morning Devotional<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Monday, January 9th:\u00a0 \u00a0A friend once told me, \u201cWhen the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change, change will take place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not sure where she got that quote from, but it has sure made a lot of sense to me over the years.\u00a0 Before there has been any kind of big shift or big move in the plan that God has had in my life, there has always been pain of some kind.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of times that pain has been of my own making.<\/p>\n<p>We like what\u2019s comfortable, don\u2019t we?\u00a0 We like what we know.\u00a0 We like things to be just the way they are, even if the way things are prove to be uncomfortable, or are consistently uneasy or kind of pinching here or absolutely grating over there.\u00a0 We choose to stay in that place however because it\u2019s what we know.\u00a0 I think what we fear the most isn\u2019t change so much \u2013 it\u2019s fear of the unknown, fear of what\u2019s on the other side of the shift we\u2019re being called to make.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s one thing we must lean on no matter where we are or where we\u2019re going in the season of change and we find it in Malachi 3:6:\u00a0 \u201cFor I, the Lord, do not change.\u201d It\u2019s a simple truth and yet profound.\u00a0 With every change that may come our way, there is one thing that will never, ever change and that is Him.<\/p>\n<p>Change can be a scary time, yes &#8211;
