With over\u00a0140 million Americans (well over 40%) listening to some form of Christian broadcasting at least once a month and approximately 1600 Christian radio and TV stations in the US, you’d think that all those people and organizations sharing the Gospel might occasionally get together and have a convention.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n And you would be correct.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was blessed to be able to attend the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville along with some of the Kinship Radio staff this past week and I am more than pleased to report that Christian broadcasting in America is committed, energized, and focused on bringing the love of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Bible to America in as many ways as people are willing to experience the Gospel.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Whether it’s radio, social media, music, television, or podcasts, the message of Jesus Christ is continuing to change the world in ways people would have never imagined only a generation or two ago. Who would have thought that in 2022 there would be 92,000 podcasts in the “Religious” category on Blubrry Podcast Directory –15% of the total and about 50% more than the next most popular category of Culture and Travel?<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n There’s been an explosion of Christian movies, Christian videos, and Christian music. Christian music sales now exceed those for classical, jazz, and new age music.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The American public is hungry for spiritual encouragement. God is not dead nor does He sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The agenda for the Monday-to-Friday event contained over forty seminars, talks, forums, devotions, praise and worship events, and times or prayer at this year’s NRB. There was a wealth of information ranging from how to improve the quality of our audio broadcasts to truth-driven journalism in an era of censorship to the changing demographics of who will be listening in the future. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n There were excellent, inspiring speakers like Michael Youssef, A.R Bernard, and E.W. Jackson.\u00a0 There was praise and worship from excellent Christian musicians like Shane and Shane, Tasha Layton, and Baylor Wilson.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n And there were many, many opportunities for people in various ministries throughout the nation to meet, share and encourage each other, and cooperate in ways that will multiply the work of the Holy Spirit and God’s glory.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n At one point, I and the Kinship staff had a wonderful meeting with some folks from Trans World Radio who can bring the Gospel to places and countries that are restrictive or openly hostile to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
