In fact, it probably originated with the Earl of Chesterfield in 1749. Mark Twain famously corrupted it in a criticism of Benjamin Franklin when he changed it to, &#8220;Never put off until tomorrow, that which you can put off until the day after tomorrow.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">And so we come to why am writing a blog post about June Letter Month which will be published with all of<em>\u00a0three days<\/em> left in the month of June. If procrastination were an Olympic event, I would be participating next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Now, there are plenty of Bible verses that tell us to be industrious and work as all things are for the Lord, but the point can also be made that there are many verses that tell us to wait patiently on the Lord. Patience is actually listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">And, let us not forget that it took Noah <em>120 years<\/em> to build that ark!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Then, there&#8217;s 2 Peter 3:9:<strong>\u00a0<em>The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,\u00a0as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient\u00a0with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance<\/em>. (NIV)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Sometimes, not doing something when you had planned to is actually the work of the Lord, as Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians, chapter 1 and in Acts 16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Now, there&#8217;s a pretty good chance I&#8217;m making excuses and rationalizing my procrastination but I do want to make the point that<strong><em> it&#8217;s not too late to send a June Letter to Kinship Christian Radio!<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">First, it&#8217;s a really great idea because it encourages and lifts up your brothers and sisters in Christ who bring you Kinship Christian Radio!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Second, it&#8217;s really easy!
