For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.<\/i> John 3:16 (ESV)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I would guess for almost all of us, John 3:16 is the first Bible verse<\/div>\n
we ever heard, and certainly the first verse we memorized. It\u2019s on T-<\/div>\n
shirts and signs. It\u2019s \u201cThe Gospel in a Nutshell.\u201d It is so common and<\/div>\n
so ingrained in every Christian, that maybe–just maybe, we miss the<\/div>\n
incredible impact and the scope of this beautiful verse.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
For it is in this verse that God, in fact Jesus Himself, gives us His plan<\/div>\n
from the beginning of time into eternity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

made. <\/i>John 1:1-3 (ESV)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cFor God so loved the world<\/i>\u2026\u201d The universe, the earth, the seas, light,<\/div>\n
the animals, and human beings were all created in love by God. All to<\/div>\n
His glory, to love God and to be loved by Him. Jesus was there from<\/div>\n
before the beginning of time as we know it\u2014and He was always part of<\/div>\n
God\u2019s plan.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2026Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!<\/i><\/div>\n
John 1:29b (ESV)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2026that He gave His only Son\u2026 And because God knew we would sin, that<\/div>\n
we would stumble and fall, His plan included giving us His only Son in<\/div>\n
love to take away our sin so that we could be recreated–reborn in Him<\/div>\n
and through Him.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of<\/i><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n

the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God. <\/i>John 1:12-13<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u2026 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.<\/div>\n
And as God\u2019s plan comes to completion, the restoration is complete. We<\/div>\n
are restored to eternal life and an eternal love relationship with God,<\/div>\n
our Father and our Creator.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So in that one verse, in John 3:16, God has said, \u201cThis is my plan.\u201d It\u2019s all<\/div>\n
there, from the beginning of time until eternity in one sentence\u2014in one<\/div>\n
nutshell.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And the focal point of that plan, where all of time and eternity flows<\/div>\n
into and out of in one glorious, incredible moment of love beyond all<\/div>\n
measure, is The Cross.<\/div>\n

Today\u2019s Praise<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in<\/i><\/div>\n
