A few weeks ago, I shared selected Bible verses from the Old Testament about
praising God.<\/p>\n

This week, the passages are from the New Testament:
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed
them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful
things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, \u201cHosanna
to the Son of David!\u201d they were indignant, and they said to him, \u201cDo you
hear what these are saying?\u201d And Jesus said to them, \u201cYes; have you
never read, \u201c\u2018Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have
prepared praise\u2019<\/i>?\u201d (Matthew 21:14-16 )<\/p>\n

And as he rode along, they spread their cloaks on the road.  As he was
drawing near\u2014already on the way down the Mount of Olives\u2014the
whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a
loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, \u201cBlessed
is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and
glory in the highest!\u201d And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to
him, \u201cTeacher, rebuke your disciples.\u201d  He answered, \u201cI tell you, if these
were silent, the very stones would cry out.<\/i>\u201d(Luke 19:36-40 )<\/p>\n

And again, \u201cPraise the Lord, all you Gentiles and let all the peoples extol
him.<\/i>\u201d (Romans 15:11 )<\/p>\n

What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind
also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also.   <\/i>
(1 Corinthians 14:15 )<\/p>\n

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of
your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised
Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire
possession of it, to the praise of his glory.<\/i> (Ephesians 1:13-14 )<\/p>\n

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is
just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if
there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about
these things.<\/i> (Philippians 4:8 )<\/p>\n

Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name<\/i>. (Hebrews 13:15 )<\/p>\n

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let
him sing praise.<\/i> (James 5:13 )<\/p>\n

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have
been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your
faith\u2014more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire\u2014
may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of
Jesus Christ.<\/i> (1 Peter 1:6-7 )<\/p>\n

And from the throne came a voice saying,
\u201cPraise our God,
all you his servants,
you who fear him,
small and great<\/i>.\u201d
